各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

同學們終於能在五月回校上課了！為了讓學生加快適應學習生活模式及抒發在抗疫長假期的緊張心情，本校將於面授課堂第一周，舉行跨學科學習，主題為「容光煥發新一天」，看見他們活動時的笑臉，感謝老師們設計這有意義的活動。

Students are finally back to school in May. In order to allow students to adapt to the school-life for their learning, and to express their anxiety during the special holiday, a multidisciplinary curriculum was designed called ‘To Be Radiant on a New Day’ for our students. I am glad to see their laughter and happiness on their faces. Thank you so much for the contribution by the teachers.

老師除了馬不停蹄為同學準備不同的教材和活動外，也不忘參加工作坊，裝備自己，以了解同學在疫情後復課的心情，學習如何輔導學生。另外，由於本校參加了機甲大師青少年挑戰賽，老師需先進行培訓，再帶領同學參加比賽。看看他們多投入學習！希望他們能夠爭取好成績。

Teachers are hectic for not just preparing various kinds of teaching materials and organizing different kinds of activities to students, they also need to join workshops for well-equipping themselves. Then they are really to help our students to get involved again in the school-life. Our school participates ‘RoboMaster Youth Tournament’. Teaches first join the workshop to learn all the techniques and skills, then they are going to teach students and join the competition. All the teachers are so devoted. I hope students can get good result in this tournament.

六年級的同學進入中央派位階段，班主任已安排時間與家長面談，討論如何選擇合適的學校。辛苦六年級班主任們，他們花了很多時間準備、分析、再給予家長意見，希望大家也能找到合適中學。

Students in Primary 6 are in the phase of Central Allocation of SSPA. P.6 class teachers arranged a timeslot to meet the parents to discuss about how to select the most suitable school to their children. Thank you so much for your unconditional contribution to do the preparation, analysis and meeting the parents and explain to them thoroughly with patience. I hope our students will go to the secondary school which is suitable to them.

24/5(二)我們終於可以舉行火警演習，同學有秩序且安靜完成演習，而且是有史以來最快完成。我十分欣賞同學的表現，大家要繼續努力！我在完成演習後，與大家分享故事，各人都十分投入聆聽，之後更向我查詢這故事能否在圖書館借閱，欣賞同學的學習精神。

We held the fire drill on 24th May finally. I was glad to see our students queueing up quietly and orderly. It is the fastest to finish the fire drill so far. They are appreciated and hope they can keep up their good performance. After the fire drill, I shared a story with all the teachers and students. They listened attentively. Afterwards, some students asked me whether they could borrow the book in the library or not. It is good to have positive learning attitude.

28/5(六)我們的課外活動又可以舉行，同學們十分熱烈地參與。我們相信活動對於小學生是十分重要。因為可以給機會他們伸展筋骨，發洩一下多餘的精力，而且他們正藉發育時期，可以令他們快高長大。最重要是疫情期間，他們只能留在家中，對身心發展不太理想。我們日後會再舉行不同類型的活動，而且會有一些特別的活動，大家拭目以待。除了課外活動開鑼， 當天也有家長及同學參與賣旗活動。雖然天氣有點熱，但無損他們的熱誠為有需要的人出一分力。正所謂：「施比受更為有福」。

On 28th May, the extra-curricular activities were held again. Lots of students were eager to participate. We believe that ECA is essential to students. It is because it gives more chances for them to stretch their bodies, to vent their extra energy while they are in puberty that makes them grow taller and stronger. They had stayed at home for so long during pandemic. It was not proper for their growth in both psychologically and physically. Our school will hold various kinds of activities which are special and unique. Please be patient to wait. Besides, ECA, some parents and student participated the flag selling activity. Although it was hot, it did not ruin their enthusiasm to give their helping hands to those in need. There is a motto: ‘It’s better to give than to receive’.

在五月尾，在一年級及四年級安排了「跨課程閱讀」，主題分別為「動物世界」及「健康飲食」。推動「跨課程閱讀」，有助學生連繫學習經歷和提高閱讀能力。憑藉這些學習經歷，學生能夠更好地裝備自己達到中學階段的學業要求。展望未來，學校必須持續推動「從閱讀中學習」，且應加強推動「跨課程閱讀」，以及有效運用科技。

At the end of May, ‘Reading across the Curriculum’ (RaC) is incorporated into P.1 and P.4 curriculum. A step towards RaC can help students connect their learning experiences and improve their reading abilities. Students with these learning experiences are better equipped to meet the academic demands at the senior secondary level. The effort to promote Reading to Learn should be sustained in the years ahead, while more emphasis should be put on promoting RaC and effective use of technology.

在疫情期間，同學們參加了多個比賽，獲得不少獎項，跟大家分享一下：

• 一位同學香港小莎翁週年匯演2022李爾「海龍王」試鏡

• 「2021屯門區小學校際中英文硬筆書法比賽」共獲三個銀獎、六個銅獎及二個優異獎
• 「身心健康──勤奮學習2021-2022系列全港校際比賽粵港澳大灣區學生邀請賽小學組硬筆書法比賽」獲積極參與學校獎及入圍獎
